Olaf
Nicolai opened museum in progress's media loop exhibition series with a
collection of media images with aesthetic-poetic or (socio)political
connotations. In the exhibition "There Is No Place Before Arrival" (2018)
curated by Luca Lo Pinto, these newspaper pictures were painted by street and
theatre painters* on the floor of the Kunsthalle Wien, where they formed a huge,
walk-in "tapestry". As an extension of the exhibition, these painted newspaper
photos were presented in the media spaces of the following eighteen media
partners as half-, full- or double-sided contributions:
